A Little Late

I know Thanksgiving was last week, but between the slaughtering the men in volleyball and the pigging out on turkey I didn't get a chance to post the things that I am most thankful for. I thought that I would take some time now to list twenty things that I am very thankful for. So here goes.

1. My husband - He is the best and he treats me wonderfully.
2. My family - I seriously have the best family out there.
3. My job - I am grateful for the opportunity to work and hopefully touch the lives of others.
4. Education - I love learning new things.
5. The church/gospel - I would probably be lost without it.
6. Good music - I love singing.
7. My chevy impala - I couldn't go without mentioning this one.
8. Good books - I would choose reading over t.v. anyday.
9. My friends - I have some of the best, and yes Amber you are one of them. Especially since you are the only one that reads this blog.
10. My home - It is one of my most favorite places on earth.
11. The Lord - He blesses me with much more than I deserve.
12. Mascara - Since I have no eyelashes.
13. Sweats and comfy clothes - Comfort over style anyday.
14. Lasik Surgery - I see with 20/10 vision now!!
15. Olive Garden - The most delicious alfredo ever.
16. Chick Flicks - Sometimes you just need girl time.
17. Mathematics - It is just so darn interesting.
18. Furry Boots - I have become obsessed with them.
19. Blimpie - Best sandwiches known to man.
20. Sleep - Although I don't get near as much as I should.

And there you have it. Twenty things that I am thankful for.

Ready for the Holidays!

We always get really excited this time of year. I love the holiday season. There is nothing better than getting together with family to pig out, rock out all night to rock band and play some fierce games of volleyball. I really have been blessed with an amazing family. Don't tell them I said that though. Another great thing about the holiday season is all the days that we get off from work. As Tate and I are both teachers we get several days off this year--three for Thanksgiving and a little over two weeks for Christmas. We love our jobs and our students, but sometimes it is nice to relax and do things for ourselves. We have been so busy since school started that the holidays will give us the rest that we need. Well again I have no new pics to post so I guess I will post some more from our Mexico trip since it was probably the highlight of our year.

Nothing new but an update none the less!

I don't have anything exciting to report or any pictures to post, but I figured that I would give an update anyway. I just finished my first grad. class. Tonight actually. I am feeling pretty good because I aced the final with a 96% and it is worth half of my grade. I start my second grad. class next week and can't wait. I absolutely love being in school and learning new things. Teaching school is going great. I teach Algebra and Spanish and absolutely love the combination. The students seem to be a little more motivated this year than last so that always makes things easier. Tate is so busy that I never get to see him. He has class every night except Tuesday which just happens to be the night that I have class. I would give you more of an update on his life but I haven't talked to him in about a week. O.k. not that long but it does seem like I never get to see him. Well that I about all for this post. Hopefully next time I will have something more exciting to say!

Busy, Busy, Busy!!!

Well, ever since we got back from Mexico life has been extremely busy--which is a complete 180 from our trip. We had a blast in Mexico. We spent our days swimming with dolphins, riding buggies in the desert, walking on the ocean floor, getting massages, sipping pina coladas, swimming in the ocean, eating delicious food, shopping, and relaxing. We also received a phone call in Mexico from Melba. They informed us that Tate's boss had quit and were wondering if he wanted to take over the ESL program. Of course we were excited about this news and we celebrated by sipping more pina coladas. We got back from Mexico on the 9th and had to report to school on the 14th. We have been very busy since. I am still teaching Math and I also get to teach a couple Spanish classes this year. The first week has been great. Tate has been even more busy then I because he is working to improve the ESL program as well as attending school to get his Masters. I start school on Tuesday to get a Masters as well. Although our lives are crazy right now we cannot complain. We have so many blessings and opportunities and thank the Lord everyday for the wonderful things in our lives.

Mexico here we come!!

At the beginning of the year Tate and I bought tickets to go down to Mexico. We were planning the trip of a lifetime because it will probably our last for awhile as we are both working and going to school full time. A couple months ago we heard about the security threat in Mexico and the corrupt police force. We were very sad and we ended up cancelling our trip. We didn't buy refundable tickets but the airline told us that we could transfer the tickets and go somewhere else. We searched everywhere but nothing seemed right. We have a timeshare with many condos but we couldn't find any that were open for the days that we needed. We finally go to the point where we were going to just forget about the trip and lose the money that we spent on airline tickets. Anyway, to make a long story short we checked our condo in Mexico to see if it was still open. It was so we re-booked our vacation. We leave Friday and are so excited. Wish us luck though and pray that we don't get kidnapped. We will post some pictures of our lovely vacation if and when we get back!!!

Be Patient I am new at this

Well, I mainly started this blog because I am completely bored. Tate is farming in Pingree for the summer so I am stuck in Nampa all by my lonesome. I am new to this whole blog thing so please be patient until I get it figured out. Anyway, for those of you who have lost touch, Tate and I are doing great. We bought a house in Nampa about a year ago. We both teach school in Melba--yes my hometown. We are also both going back to school this fall to get Masters degrees. We will be very busy but are grateful for all the blessings and opportunities in our lives. For all of you who have been asking and those of you who want to ask, no we don't have children yet and no we don't know when we will. For now we are just enjoying life and all of the wonderful things that come with it.
